SUKKUR:
Four children were burnt to death and two more people were injured in a fire that broke out in a tent in Sabu Buriro village of Qamber-Shahdadkot district on Monday night. The fire also killed eight buffaloes and several goats. It broke out in the tent of a labourer, Ranjhan Buriro, while the occupants were sleeping. The fire engulfed the nearby tents burning his three sons, Imran, Aijaz and, Oshaq and daughter, Ruqia, to death. Buriro and his wife, Hajra, were also injured as they tried to put out the fire. They were rushed to Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana. Drigh police SHO Gul Muneer Hulio informed The Express Tribune that many labourers, such as Buriro, have been living in the tents that were given to them after their houses were destroyed during the floods of 2010. He said the family left a candle lit which caused the fire.
