Opening batsman Imamul Haq hit an unbeaten century to help Pakistan U19 thrash their Afghan counterparts by eight wickets in a 45-over match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.


The opener fired 106 from 91 deliveries, laced with 15 boundaries and two sixes as the hosts achieved the 181-run target comfortably in only 30.5 overs. Saud Shakeel, who scored an unconquered 53, was the main contributor.


Earlier, Kamran Ghulam excelled with figures of four for 28 from nine overs as the home team bowled out Afghanistan U19 for 180 in 45 overs. Hashmatullah Shaidi (58) was the top scorer for the tourists.
