DI KHAN: Two people were injured in a roadside blast in Bacha Abad village of Kulachi tehsil, DI Khan on Monday, said a police official. According to the police, two motorcyclists were passing by when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off, injuring Samasth Din Gandapur, a resident of Kulachi, and Sherani, a resident of Tank. They are presently being treated at District Headquarters and Teaching Hospital, DI Khan. The police official admitted the blast was a terror attack, but maintained it was not immediately clear who was behind it. Kulachi’s Gandapur tribe has a longstanding dispute with the Waziristani nomadic tribes – Dottani and Sulimankhel, and members of the Gandapur tribe believe the IEDs are planted by the nomads to target them.
