Shop Robbery: 800g gold, 1kg silver taken

Aftab later told police there were also some important documents in the safe.

BAHAWALPUR: Unidentified men on Monday took away 800 grams of gold jewellery, one kilogram of silver jewellery and Rs150,000 from a jewellery shop in the Himaitian area. Police said the masked men entered Muhammad Aftab’s shop and held him and his workers at gunpoint. They took the safe carrying the gold, silver and the cash. Police said they shot several times in the air to intimidate men in the adjacent shops before they left. Aftab later told police there were also some important documents in the safe. Police said they had started the investigation.
