Travelling d: Man killed over money

WAZIRABAD: A man was shot dead at a wedding ceremony in Thattha Fakirullah village on Monday over an apparent dispute over money. Police said 27-year-old Muhammad Shehzad, who worked as a crane operator in Saudi Arabia, had had a dispute over Rs50,000 with some men from the same village in Saudi Arabia. He had returned home two weeks ago. On Monday night, police said, he was attending a relative’s wedding in the area, when Bobby and Mohsin, both residents of Manaywala and friends of the group he had a dispute with, took him out of the venue and shot him several times. They fled. The injured was rushed to the tehsil headquarters hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Cantonment police said they had registered an FIR and started investigation. They said initial investigation had revealed that Bobby and Shahzad were distant relatives.  The deceased was engaged to be married.
