SAG Awards 2014

We were in awe watching all those celebrities walk down the red-carpet in those gorgeous dresses, jewels and shoes.

Nestled between the Golden Globes, the Grammys and the Oscars are the SAG Awards, an evening with a rather unflattering name but a brilliant founding concept, i.e. actors giving their fellow actors awards.

Some of the red carpet looks at the SAG Awards this year were phenomenal; we were in awe watching all those celebrities walk down the red-carpet in those gorgeous dresses, jewels, shoes and bags. Check out our favourite looks of the evening.

Lupita N’yongo

The 12 Years a Slave stunner looked gorgeous in a one-of-a-kind, gold and teal gown by Gucci, that showed off her flawless figure and impeccable complexion. The intricate collar, which was adorned with delicate flowers, was complemented by the simplicity of the bodice. She accented her dress with a pair of antique gold and citrine earrings and a gold flower bouquet ring from Fred Leighton.

Amy Adams

Ravishing redhead Amy Adams smartly selected true cobalt blue shades for the evening, the American Hustle star looked stunning in a vibrant blue illusion dress by Antonio Berardi, featuring cut-outs and a sleek, wraparound gold belt. Its unusual neckline gave the glam gown a bit of edge. She paired her look with Cartier jewels, shoes by Jimmy Choo and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.

Jennifer Lawrence

We’re sensing something of a winning formula here. Jennifer Lawrence + Christian Dior + red-carpet = match made in fashion heaven! Jen chose to razzle dazzle the red carpet in towering heels and a strapless sequined silk embroidered navy and burgundy gown by Dior Haute Couture that flaunted her curves. She paired her look with Jennifer Meyer jewels.

Anna Gunn

The Breaking Bad standout stood tall in a sleeveless, navy sequined midnight-blue halter Monique Lhuillier gown embellished with tiny beading. The actress, nominated for Breaking Bad, celebrated the end of the series with style. She found a fashionable way to pay tribute to her hit AMC series by toting a custom Edie Parker clutch featuring the show’s logo.

Emilia Clarke

The Game of Thrones star looked radiant in a custom-designed rose-gold, off-the-shoulder metallic beaded gown by Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein Collection. She paired her head turning look with shoes by Roger Vivier, a black box clutch by Rauwolf and Pomellato jewels. She shimmered and stood out as she walked the red carpet.

Claire Danes

The new mom looked phenomenal in her stunning geometric crêpe-de-chine mermaid dress with inlaid panels and blue paillette embroidery on tulle from the Vionnet VIP collection. Claire Danes looked elegant head-to-toe on the red carpet. Her Jimmy Choo Lance sandals and simple Forevermark Diamonds jewelry were ideal. Dramatic, blue smokey eyes, berry lips and plenty of volume in her hair rounded off the get-up.
