National security goals: Everyone’s input needed, says Mamnoon

The president underscores the need for a thorough understanding of the implications of national security.

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday said the effective pursuit of national security goals required developing a comprehensive framework with input from all segments of society. Addressing a workshop on national security at the National Defence University, the president said a strategic framework was needed to encompass all elements of national power keeping in view the national, regional and global factors. The five-week workshop provided an opportunity to parliamentarians, civil and military officers and members of civil society to deliberate upon issues of national importance. The president underscored the need for a thorough understanding of the implications of national security.
