Street crime: Jewellery shop robbed

Rs30,000 cash, jewellery and a mobile phone were stolen from the shop in Garden Town.

ISLAMABAD: A jewellery shop was robbed in broad day light in Garden Town on Thursday. Police sources said that five armed robbers broke into the shop of Shah Syed in Street No 5 and held him hostage. They looted Rs30,000 cash, jewellery and a mobile phone, and fled after locking him inside. The police registered a case against the robbers but no arrests or recoveries have been made so far.
