SUKKUR: Students and faculty members of the Cosmic Infer English School, Sukkur, on Thursday, organised a prayer session for the victims who lost their lives in the accident on Shaheed Benazeerabad Road on Wednesday. The school’s administrator, principal, teachers and students participated in the session.

The participants expressed solidarity with the victims’ families and offered fateha for the students who lost their lives in the accident. Speaking to The Express Tribune, the participants expressed sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and demanded the government to take strict action against those responsible for the incident. Many of the students openly wept for the departed souls.

The school’s administrator, Hamid Raza, and its principal, Anwar Jahan, suggested it was ironic that illiterate and inexperienced people were given driving licences, which meant that they had been given a licence to kill. They demanded of the government to immediately arrest the culprits and award exemplary punishment to the culprits. They also demanded of the chief justice to take notice of the incident and order action against those responsible for the upkeep of the roads and traffic rules.
