Attack averted: Explosive-laden jacket defused

The police foils a terrorism bid in Judbah headquarters of Torghar district.

BATTAGRAM: The police foiled a terrorism bid in Judbah headquarters of Torghar district on Monday. According to a police official, upon receiving a report, Judbah SHO Hakam Khan rushed to Cheergay village and found an explosive-laden jacket hidden between stones on the side of the road. Khan then called in the bomb disposal squad which arrived and defused the jacket which was said to be packed with 20 kilogrammes of explosives. Torghar has witnessed over four terrorist attacks over the past two years, all directed at police. Torghar, formerly known as Kala Dhaka was given the status of a district in 2010.
