KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to suspend cellular services in different parts of the province on Tuesday to boost security for Eid Miladun Nabi, Express News reported.

Services will be suspended in Karachi from 7 am to 10 pm.

In 13 other districts of Sindh, the services will be blocked from 7am to 9pm.

Services will also be suspended in Quetta from 7am to 5pm.

The measures are a part of heightened security measures put in place for Eid Miladun Nabi which include deployment of extra personnel of law enforcing agencies in sensitive areas.

Last week, the government had announced a ban on pillion riding for five days to boost security ahead of Eid Miladun Nabi

Cell phone services had also been suspended on December 24, 2013 for Chehlum.
