Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will organise a pre-budget seminar next week to gather inputs from trade and industrial associations of the city on the Federal Budget 2014-15.
According to a statement, KCCI President Abdullah Zaki said KCCI’s seminar will focus on highlighting a number of issues pertaining to sales tax refunds and of the Afghan Transit Trade.
“It will provide an opportunity to identify customs anomalies, besides exploring ways to improve Pakistan’s exports,” he said adding that the seminar will enable the business community to explore the potential incentive.
Zaki said that the seminar will provide the business sector to compile comprehensive budget recommendations to create an enabling environment for the private sector.
KCCI asked the trade associations to come up with suggestions to improve the ongoing energy crisis, law and order situation as well as suggesting a concrete approach for strengthening trade, real estate and construction sectors which could be forwarded to the government authorities.
