Relief for Awaran: CM promises reconstruction of homes

CM says work has been initiated on the construction.

Balochistan Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch visited the earthquake-hit district of Awaran on Wednesday, saying the second phase of rehabilitation in the area would include the reconstruction of homes.


Speaking with the media during his visit, the CM said work has been initiated on the construction of these homes, adding that the army, Frontier Corps (FC) and provincial administration contributed to the rehabilitation effort.


Commander Southern Command Nasir Janjua, Chief Secretary Balochistan Babar Yaqoob Feteh Muhammad, Central Secretary National Party Tahir Bizenjo and other officials were also present on the occasion.


The Chief Minister also distributed cheques among those affected by the quake and inaugurated a children’s park in the district. He inaugurated the area’s Sports Week, organized by local administration and the army as well as a sports complex and announced 5 million rupees for the district’s sports committee.

very good step.I hope the quality of the homes will be good enough to take up minor earthquake next time.
