Ghost employees: Sharjeel Memon starts crackdown

Minister directed the heads of the local departments to immediately make a list of ghost employees and remove them.

KARACHI: Sindh information, archives and local government minister Sharjeel Memon said the government will not tolerate the presence of any ghost employee in public departments, especially in local government departments, including the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) and at schools, and dispensaries. The minister directed the heads of the local departments to immediately make a list of ghost employees and remove them. He issued these directives to the local government secretary, Muhammad Jawaid Hanif Khan, and other local government department officials in a meeting he presided over on Tuesday at his office.
