Inside job?: LERP office records destroyed in fire

KARACHI:

An office of the Lyari Expressway Resettlement Project (LERP) was damaged in an inferno on Monday. The office is situated adjacent to the office of deputy commissioner East within the limits of Aziz Bhatti police station in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The fire broke out during the working hours at around 11:30am. LERP officials claimed that unidentified miscreants attacked the office and set the office furniture on fire. They said some of the staffers were also beaten up by the attackers. The fire also caused the burning of the official records.
