Petty dispute: Seven-year-old shoots another minor

A seven-year-old boy allegedly shot and killed an eight-year-old over a minor dispute in Durakhel, Sherpao village of Charsadda district on Saturday.


An official of Umerzai police station, Masood Khan said Zeeshan, 8, was playing cricket with a group of boys when Jawad, 7, had an argument with him over a petty issue.

Khan further said the argument turned into a brawl. Later Jawad went home, took a gun and opened fire at Zeeshan, killing him on the spot.

According to the police official, the accused then fled from the site. No arrests were made till this report was filed.

Meanwhile, a body was found in Salarzai sub-division of Bajaur Agency. According to an official of the political administration, unidentified men dumped the body in Chargori. Political administration officials rushed to the site after being informed by residents, and shifted it to a hospital for autopsy and identification.

The deceased’s identity could not be ascertained and the body had not been claimed till this report was filed.
