NEW DELHI:

Moments after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh announced that he would step down after this year’s elections, the Indian leader blamed Pakistan for stalling the deal over Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

“On one time it appeared that an important breakthrough was in sight. But events in Pakistan led to the process being halted,” he said.

Singh added,“We will continue to seek better relations with our immediate neighbours knowing that the destiny of the Indian subcontinent is linked through a shared history and a shared geography.”

Expressing the desire to visit Pakistan he hoped that he could visit his birthplace before the end of his tenure. “I should go only when my visit brings solid results,” he said.

Why must you await the will of Pakistan to end Indian occupation of Kashmir? You are a charlatan and this is well known to your friend and foe. People like you leave no legacy other than passing the buck to the next. No talks with China is another one of your achievement. We cannot alter the borders but can make them meaningless, was your narrative!
