KARACHI: The Indus Hospital will set up a one-day volunteer blood camp at the office of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce tomorrow (Saturday). The camp is being set up by the hospital’s centralised blood bank as part of their blood donation drive. The second camp would be set up at the NED University of Engineering and Technology on Tuesday. Dr Saba Jamal of the Indus Hospital said that such camps were meant to create awareness among the people to donate blood voluntarily. “It is difficult for attendants to get blood in times of emergency,” she said. Dr Jamal added that the Indus Blood Bank was designed according to international standards, adding that the blood was split into its constituents to prevent wastage.
