As per the official Facebook page, Chambaili will be releasing in theatres in Glasgow, Leeds, Bradford, Birmingham, Manchester, Hatfield, Kingston, Uxbridge and Panton street to name a few.
The movie was released in Pakistan a couple of weeks before the May 11 elections and did an average business on the box office partly because of the prevalent social conditions.
It was released on 40 screens and generated a total business of Rs25 million with a major slump in business after the elections.
Chambaili is set in pre-election Mulke Khudadad, a reflection of Pakistan today where target killings, crime and suo motu notices are the norm.
The protagonist Saif (Shahzad Nawaz) has a generally happy existence with his friends and family in Mulke Khudadad. His fiancée (Mehreen Syed) and some other friends often discuss the dark future of their country and are torn between staying and escaping.
Things change when Saif is badly beaten by Inquilab party workers and no police officers come to his rescue.
At this point, under the leadership of their friend Moosa (Ehteshamuddin), Saif and his friends decide to stand up to the political party and go on a hunger strike.

@ WAZ: Lots of women wear saris in Karachi. The Doctors in the Medical Corp of the Pakistan Army also wear the Sari. And in Lahore it is worn on formal occasions. Don't know where you live...you really ought to get out and about a bit. The reason why Shalwar Kameez is more common is because it is more practical and gives greater freedom of movement.
@Taimoor: probably an indian troll dude... pakistani women obviously wear saris. i remember my mother wore saris at all formal occasions while i was growing up. now since she is older, she doesnt wear them as often.
@waz: My wife is Pakistani and she wears it very often. If you cared to venture out of your mohalla where women only wear abayas and burkas, you will see that there is alot of diversity in what Pakistani women wear!
Since when have women in Pakistan worn saris ?? Really ??
