Gutter repair: TMA asks for Rs14.74m grant
A TMA official said that 2,124 gutters in the town did not have lids, while those on 1,096 gutters were broken.

The Sargodha tehsil municipal administration on Wednesday requested the government to release Rs14.74 million for repair of over 2,500 gutters in the city. The TMA administrator said the gutters had caused several accidents, including those in which people had lost their lives. The application was sent on behalf of the local government secretary. A TMA official said that 2,124 gutters in the town did not have lids, while those on 1,096 gutters were broken. Rings around 304 lids were missing. He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had directed tehsil municipal administration to and the district governments to repair all gutters. The TMA, he said, had been facing a shortage of funds and had requested for a Rs14.74 million grant for the repair.
