Fatal fire: Minor girl dies of burn injuries

A fire swept through a row of huts in Waspur Muhalla, Old Sukkur

SUKKUR: A minor girl died of burn injuries while a woman sustained injuries in a fire that swept through a row of huts in Waspur Muhalla, Old Sukkur, on Monday. According to details, the fire broke out in the huts of Bagri community and the minor girl, Falak, 11, died while the woman suffered burn injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Sukkur. Three huts along with some houses were reduced to ashes. The occupants alleged that the losses incurred due to the late arrival of fire tenders. A high-tension conductor snapped and fell on the huts, which caused the fire.
