Targeted attacks: Seven injured in two IED blasts

A peace committee volunteer and two Frontier Corps officials are among the injured.

GHALLANAI: A peace committee volunteer, two Frontier Corps (FC) officials and four others were injured in two IED blasts in Mohmand Agency. A political administration official Zeeshan Abdullah told The Express Tribune that a volunteer of Babazai peace committee, Tasleem Khan, was injured in an IED blast while passing through Shamsha area in Baizai sub-division. He was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar due to his critical condition. In response to the attack, a search operation was launched in the area by FC forces. Another IED went off while they were trying to defuse a bomb in Baizai, injuring two FC officials and four peace committee volunteers. The injured were rushed to the agency headquarters hospital, where they were said to be out of danger.
