
"[However], the Prime Minister of Pakistan on sympathetic grounds, is ready to send a special plane or an air ambulance to bring his mother back home so as to continue her medical treatment in Pakistan and she could be with her son," he said in a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office.
Background
Earlier this month, Musharraf’s counsel had moved the court, stating that his client wanted to be with his 95-year-old mother in Dubai after his release on bail and that keeping his client’s name on the ECL was a violation of fundamental rights.
The Sindh High Court had dismissed the plea and advised Musharraf's counsel to refer the request directly to the government.
