Transfers and postings: CDA in for major reshuffle

A large-scale reshuffle in the middle tiers of the Capital Development Authority is expected on Friday (today).


The authority has planned transfers and postings of some 50 officers’ including those working in the authority on deputation.

“The reshuffle is expected to affect the Estate Management, Planning and Design, Administration, Human Resource Department, Services, Electrical and Mechanical, and Sports and Culture directorates,” said an official privy to the development.

A number of deputationists are also expected to be repatriated to their parent departments.

Those who would be sent back to their parent departments include Sanitation Director Faisal Nisar Chaudhry, a BS-19 Office Management Group officer, Sajjad Hussain Shah, a BS-19 National Assembly Secretariat officer, Estate Management Director Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam, a BS-18 Trade and Commerce Group officer, Security Director Sheikh Fareed, a BS-19 Punjab Government officer, and Sports and Culture Director Ramzan Joya, a BS-18 Punjab Government officer.

Similarly, Deputy Revenue Commissioner Khalid Yameen Satti, a BS-18 Punjab Government officer, and Senior Special Magistrate Changaiz Khan, another Punjab Government officer of BS-17 will also be repatriated.

Sources at HRD directorate further claimed that competent officers from other government departments would be brought in and posted as the security director, enforcement director, deputy revenue commissioner, special magistrate and revenue officers.

“Most of the CDA cadre officer present on the strength of HRD will be deputed against posts which fall vacant after the reshuffle,” he added.

A BS-19 police official will likely be posted as the Security director, while Law Deputy DG Najma Azhar would be posted as Director HRD, he said.

Besides that, the directors of EM-I, EM-II, one window, coordination and HRD will be reshuffled.

Notifications to this effect are expected on Friday (today), the official said.
