QUETTA:

The Anti Terrorism Court (ATC-I) on Tuesday summoned former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and other co-accused to appear on February 3 in the Nawab Bugti’s murder case.

ATC-I Judge Tariq Anwar Kasi adjourned the hearing until February 3 after the former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao and former home minister Shoaib Nausherwani appeared before the court. The lawyers of both the former ministers have submitted pleas for bail.

Earlier, the court rejected Musharraf’s plea for exemption from appearing at the hearings of the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.

“Musharraf could not appear before the ATC Quetta because of his treason case’s hearing in Islamabad,” the court was told.
