@ kapt slim When did Musharraf tell you about that?? The dictator has been clinging on for 9 years. During this period he has been occupying 4 seats (President of the country, Chief Executive of the country, Chairman JSC & Army Chief) but has done nothing tangible for the Kashmir cause either.
@Indian Business Analyst: Totally agree with you because Indian leadership also always arranges such these types of meetings just for time passing and fun to show this hypocritical attitude that India is sincere and honest not for serious, honest and sincere activities to resolve all the disputes with Pakistan most especially importantly burning, core and long-awaited Kashmir issue.....
Hope something positive comes out of this.
@Muslim Leaguer: just to put you right ... in the history kashmir issue was never more close to solution in mushraff regime than in any other era
my view...no need to meet non state actors........
@shah: It is not starnge, it is obvious:One would like to know that why have you given example which is not fit according to our enviornment.Pakistan and USA do not hsare border. Your relations with USA have been different in narure and relations with India remaind hostile always.Hostilityy and rivalries have always been remaind obstacles. We should hope that this meeting may bring some positivity accross the boarder.
Very strange that Pakistan and Indian army officers have such few face to face meetings. US and Pakistan regularly meet face to face at higher and mid-level officers, same needs to be done with India.
This is an excellent initiative of PMLN Government to re-start the peace process that was halted 14 years ago by General Musharraf due to his Kargil Misadventure and when the Government announced to form Kargil Commission to probe the causes, the rogue General overthrew the elected government through coup d'état on the dark night of 12th October 1999. . The amount of money that Pakistan and India waste on military escalations can be better utilized to improve the economic conditions, poverty reduction and creation of millions of jobs for the people.
