Pak-India relations: DGMOs to meet on Tuesday

This is the first time that DGMOs from the two nuclear-armed neighbours will hold face-to-face talks.

Director General Military Operations of Pakistan and India are expected to meet at the Wagah border on Tuesday to discuss measures to ensure ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC), Radio Pakistan reported.

Director General Military Operations Major General Aamer Riaz would represent the Pakistan side, while the Indian side would be represented by Lieutenant General Vinod Bhatia.

Earlier both countries had agreed to arrange a meeting of their DGMOs after talks betweenPrime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York in September.
