KARACHI:
The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) and key trade officials held a meeting to plan for an increase in buyers and buying inquiries through a buyer acquisition tool called TradeMate Live. UNISAME President Zulfikar Thaver said the live chat application would help SMEs in generating inquiries resulting in a buyer acquisition cycle. After acquiring this tool, they can direct buyers from the countries they wish to target resulting in interactive dealing via TradeMate Live. Thaver emphasised the need for SMEs to adopt technology to progress. “Technology is the key to growth and it is the endeavour of the union to promote technology in the sector.” Mustafa Masood, the business development executive overseeing global expansion, said “According to a research they have conducted, approximately 99.5% of visitors leave the sellers website while only 0.5% become potential customers.” Tradekey has a solution through which the entrepreneur can engage five times more customers.
