Administrative Measures: Security promised for procession

The processions and mourning sessions will start from December 20 and go on till January 1.

BAHAWALPUR: Regional Police Officer Shahid Hanif on Saturday said security arrangements had been made for the processions of Hazrat Imam Hussain’s (RA) chehlum in Bahawalpur. He said the Punjab Highway Patrol teams would be deployed for the purpose. “We have also arranged a meeting of Shia and Sunni leaders in this regard.” On Saturday, Fidayan-i-Ali Akbar Organisation District President Syed Qamar Hussain Zaidi announced that the organisation would take out a chehlum procession on December 30. The processions and mourning sessions will start from December 20 and go on till January 1.
