Daughter of the late premier Benazir Bhutto Aseefa Bhutto Zardari praised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Twitter this Saturday for vowing to lead the anti-polio campaign in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

Polio workers are frequently attacked by militants and in the wake of a recent attack on Friday in which two people were killed, Imran Khan called on all political and religious leaders to join him in the campaign to eradicate polio.

Aseefa, who is also Pakistan's goodwill ambassador for polio eradication, praised Imran for taking the initiative and urged politicians to set political differences aside when it comes to matters of healthcare.

Her older brother Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairperson of the Pakistan Peoples Party and a frequent critic of Imran Khan's policies, also surprised his followers by tweeting his support for PTI's upcoming protest against inflation.

This praise from the siblings did not go unnoticed and PTI leaders Shireen Mazari and Naz Baloch quick to appreciate the support.

Mazari expressed her appreciation of Aseefa and Bilawal's remarks in a tweet, before going on to state that these compliments are proof that PTI is the voice of the nation.

@Dr.M.M.Khan: Dear Dr. thank you.I fully sympathise with you for your dear ones' health problem .One of my own older cousin was a polio affected. He died quite full youth but i saw him leading a miserable life. There was no shortage of bread and butter for him in the family but i always saw him distressed and dejected.Otherwise also he was an ignored person.Actually no taste of life is left behind after such a disability. Imran Khan is still young and has a zeal to work.He knew and understood this grave issue of polio.in KPK well before winning elections in the province. Now PTI is ruling the province from very beginning. Why did he kept quiet about the issue.so long? By now scores of kids must have been affected with this nefarious disease due to deprivation from the vaccine. What will they remember about their health care. What will be their life.Imran Khan could do a lot but he is late.
