Dengue inspection: EPD lodges complaint against PHA official
Rasheed told reporters he was “astonished” that the director had neglected to clean the drain.
LAHORE:
Environment Secretary Anwar Rasheed led an inspection at Lawrence Gardens on Tuesday and lodged an FIR against the PHA project director after dengue mosquitoes and larvae were found in a drain.
Rasheed told reporters he was “astonished” that the director, identified only as Shahid, had neglected to clean the drain or even ask Wasa for help to do so. He asked the Wasa managing director to send a team to the park to clean the drain.
He said the government was trying its best to eliminate the dengue threat, but all government employees and citizens must also help.
