Throwball championship: Rotary school beats Saint Mary’s

The Rotary School bagged the winning trophy by defeating Saint Mary’s High School in the final match of the throwball championship.


The competition was held at the premises of Saint Mary’s High School on Sunday.

Teams from eight schools, including the host, Saint Mary’s High School, Rotary School, APWA Excellence School, Saint Saviour’s High School, Government Girls High School, Rising Kids Schools, Public School and Danish School, participated in the championship. The principal of Saint Mary’s High School, Sister Rosey Yakoob, told The Express Tribune that extracurricular activities played a vital role in grooming the youth. It was, therefore, important for youngsters to engage in sports activities, she stressed.
