The court will take up the case again on December 18.

LAHORE: An assistant advocate general told the Lahore High Court on Monday that a summary had been forwarded to the chief minister for the reinstatement of former director general of health services Dr Tanvir Ahmed.

Dr Ahmed had challenged his suspension, saying that he had been punished even though an inquiry into the measles epidemic earlier this year had cleared him of wrongdoing. He asked the court to set aside the notification of his suspension and order his reinstatement.

The court will take up the case again on December 18.
