KARACHI: Sindh minister for information and local government Sharjeel Memon has said that the targeted operation against criminals will continue indefinitely.

He asserted, however, that the pre-set objectives had been achieved, for which the Rangers and police deserved applause. Memon reported that the law enforcers had arrested more than 10,000 criminals in the last few months while expressing hope that the remaining, who had gone underground, will be arrested soon.

Businessmen and traders have also been able to breathe a sigh of relief after extortionists were taken into custody during the targeted operation, he added.
