ISLAMABAD:

The Golra police has lodged a case against a man for allegedly blackmailing a teenage girl. The police registered the case on the direction of a sessions court judge after a delay of 22 days of the incident.

However, no arrest had been made till the filing of this report. The 13-year-old Nabeela*, a resident of Gulshan-i-Khudadad, was allegedly being blackmailed by a person who had forcefully taken ‘objectionable’ pictures of her.

The victim visited the police station with an elder to lodge a case against her tormentor, but to her dismay, the police resorted to delaying tactics and forced her to make repeated visits to the police station.

Sources revealed that the Golra Police Station House Officer was taking the suspect’s side which forced the girl to approach a court to pressure the police to lodge a case against the suspect.
