Fighting crime: Five more courts for illegal arms cases

KARACHI: Sindh chief minister Qaim Ali Shah announced the establishment of five Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs) to hear cases against those found in possession of illegal weapons. “Illegal weapons are a major contributing factor to the terrorist activities in Karachi,” said the chief minister.  “No extrajudicial killings have been reported during the operation in Karachi,” he remarked. “We will initiate an independent inquiry if any such case surfaces.”
