Monthly stats: Capital police nab 147 absconders

Police officials recovered stolen items worth Rs3,555,500 from their possession.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have nabbed 147 absconders involved in criminal activities during the past one month, a police spokesman said. The 147 absconders included 66 proclaimed offenders and 81 court absconders. According to details, the city zone police arrested 24 proclaimed offenders and 21 court absconders while 25 proclaimed offenders and 29 court absconders were arrested by the saddar zone police. Similarly, industrial area zone police nabbed seven proclaimed offenders and 10 court absconders and the rural zone police arrested 11 proclaimed offenders and 20 court absconders. During the same period, the Islamabad Police also arrested 27 people suspected of involvement in robbery, murder and car theft. Police officials recovered stolen items worth Rs3,555,500 from their possession.
