"According to reports, Saleem Raza Qaimkhani was killed because of personal enmity," reported Express News correspondent Nadeem Ahmed.
Mureed Shani who has been taken into police custody in connection with the murder said that Saleem was regularly intoxicated, and was involved in bizarre activities such as "black magic".
"His head was severed in order to make a spectacle," reported Ahmed.
A search operation is still underway to arrest the culprits.
The beheaded body of Saleem was found on Thursday. He was killed inside his house in Sector 16-4 in Buffer Zone. The police also found a Panaflex sheet along with the head on Friday.
“This [beheading] is revenge of the Rawalpindi incident,” police had originally claimed.

the liberals here were trying to twist the killing by giving sectarian effect
Wow...this has to be possible the most oddly-written story ever. Why even print it in this state?
Cover up story? Why was there a letter found along with the head stating this is revenge for the Rawalpindi incident? Clearly another terrorist attack against a Sunni Barelvi this time who has love for the Holy Prophet's family. Everyone knows the leaders of ASWJ (LEJ) who openly take part in protest gatherings and the like - why doesn't the establishment simply shut them down?
@ET... you know that is not the truth...shame
We are deeply sorry about the death of Saleem Raza Qaimkhani and wonder how come sorcery is still prevalent in 21st century Pakistan. Nevertheless we are thankful to God that it is not a target killing. It is definitely a sigh of relief for Karachiites when there are no news about target killing. The Targeted Operation is brining its fruits in Karachi!
If this is true, hopefully these black "magicians" are caught and put in a room full of hungry rats to clean them to their bones.
Do you still believe it was some kind of black magic when they found this: “This [beheading] is revenge of the Rawalpindi incident,” GET REAL!
Regardless, Army needs to do a clean up operation in Karachi, simple as that.
I didn't know Malik Ishaq and Ludhanvi were black magicians.
