Taking Steps: KU sets up thalassemia centre

KARACHI: A mobile thalassemia centre has been established at the University of Karachi, announced the vice-chancellor Prof Muhamamd Qaiser on Friday evening. He said this is the first-ever thalassemia centre at an institution in the country. The university has emerged as the first institution in Pakistan that is taking steps towards tackling this genetic disease.
