KARACHI: Leading golfers of the national circuit will be seen in action at the third Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Amateur Golf Championship 2013 that will tee off Friday at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club Golf Course in Lahore.

Details of the three-day championship were unveiled at the press conference on Wednesday, addressed by Station Commander Punjab of Pakistan Navy Commodore Akbar Naqi, Director Golf Col Jameel Khalid, and Director Media Khawaja Pervaiz Saeed.

As per the information received, prominent amateur golfers including Mohammad Rehman, Mohsin Zafar, Tariq Mahmood and Ghazanfar Mehmood will showcase their skills at the event.

The participants of the amateur category will be entitled to win a car as a reward for the hole in one.

The main competition for amateurs will be contested over three rounds with 18 holes to be played each day, making it a total of 54 holes.

Besides the main event, others include the seniors and female category.
