His twitter handle, @AAliZardari, began to trend late on Tuesday night thanks to a tweet from his son, and PPP patron in chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Bilawal has more than 91,000 followers on Twitter.

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of the former president, also welcomed her father on Twitter.
The OFFICIAL account of Asif Ali Zardari @AAliZardari Co-chariman Pakistan Peoples Party #PPP... HI BABA!! :D x
— Aseefa B Zardari (@AseefaBZ) November 26, 2013
At the time of writing, Zardari had over 1,200 followers and it was rising fast.
He is so far following just four accounts. The official Pakistan Peoples Party twitter account, his son Bilawal and daughters Bakhtawar and Aseefa.
Zardari is the second former President of Pakistan to be represented on the social media site. General Pervez Musharraf has been on Twitter for a while with the account initially being managed by his office. It was not immediately clear if Zardari's account was being operated by the former President or by his office.
Reactions
Soon after Zardari's account was advertised by the widely followed Bilawal and Aseefa, people reacted to seeing the former President on twitter.

Now following @AAliZardari - the fighter who disappoints his critics and haters all the time.
— Raza Ahmad Rumi (@Razarumi) November 26, 2013
Judging by his first few tweets I see no reason to follow Zardari sahib. Unless it's being run by Bilawal. In which case it will be a riot.

Adil Uddin,
Not funny actually , I would rather call it absurd, way beyond reasons & common sense. Both, the follower and the leader are from the same mold.
After Pakistan, RIP Twitter __
I donot believe he will wast his time on twetting and reply to replyings of every one...
Raza Rumi's praises
"the fighter who disappoints his critics and haters all the time."
Did anyone else find it funny?
@Noman:
