Earning in absentia: 36 paramedical staff transferred in Bannu
An inquiry was launched over their absence from work.
BANNU:
Around 36 paramedical staff of the Khalifa Gul Nawaz Medical Complex (KGN) were transferred on November 22. An inquiry was launched over their absence from work. The inquiry comes after All Teaching Hospitals Bannu Chief Executive Dr Jahangir paid a surprise visit at the complex. Jahangir said he carried out an inspection at the KGN hospital a few nights ago to see whether the paramedic staff was on duty. He found 36 staffers had not showed up for work. He ordered all the absent staffers be transferred. Some of the paramedics who had not shown up have not been performing their duties for some time but regularly drew salaries, he added.
