LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan is bent on ruining Pakistan’s relations with other countries, said Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed on Sunday.
He was speaking to media in Lahore.
Criticising the PTI chief for not naming the US in the FIR against drone strikes, Rasheed questioned if Imran does not know who is conducting the missile strikes.
Commenting on the PTI sit-ins to block Nato supply routes, the information minister said there is no point in holding protests on Saturday and Sunday as no truck passes through Pakistan on the weekends.
He further added that the supply routes are used to transport food and not ammunition.
The information minister had criticised PTI earlier as well, saying that the party should avoid a “contradiction” between words and deeds. “Imran Khan’s heart beats for the Taliban but his sword serves the US,” Rasheed had said.
The minister had added that projects worth millions of dollars were being run with US aid in K-P, adding that Imran was surrounded by people who had allowed drone attacks and celebrated a former dictator’s coup d’etat.

PMLN was against drones when they were not in power .... now they are in power and they are as helpless ad previous governments .... atleast PTI is staging a protest ... what PMLN is doing ? just criticizing ? @objective observer: Just answer me this - what will you say if IK successfully stops drone strikes and therefore, terrorist attacks stops as well in response (which is what the taliban have offered to do clearly) ? Khan, least should have shown some political maturity even at this critical juncture where the sectarian voilence is on rise, this stoping nato supply is definitly non-sensical, does not Pakistan abides by the UN treaty which fully supports NATO operations in the members states

You will see for self how the level of corruption has substantially declined in the Revenue Department, education and health sector improved. Appointments on government jobs are made strictly on merit. Let us tell you I am not a PTI supporter. Rest assure, the people of KP have the will and courage how to confront TTP.
I disagree with Imran Khan on practically everything and couldn't agree more that the dharna is a recipe for disaster. However, Mr pervez rasheed belongs to a party who did claim that Zardari government should shoot down drones amongst other things. So what's with the sudden change of mind? Or was that just to create chaos and anarchy?

Why there is no policy statement from Nawaz Sharif, about the recent drone strikes on Pakistan. Clearly a dual policy like what Imran khan says. Need to take a bold, clear and strong stance. Instead of speaking against drone attack, he is speaking against Khan, what a duplicity. Drone attack clearly violates the human rights, it is against the sovereignty and Integrity of the Nation. Pride and self respect is precious and more important than dollars. Drone kills innocent people and in retaliation more Pakistanis are killed, as the Taliban thinks that government is hand in glove to the US. A perfect recipe for disaster. 70 percent of the industries are closed in KPK and there are hordes of disgruntled youths.

International relation is an exclusive area of rulling party therefore PTI is crossing it's limite and hence IK is just working on the agenda of TTP. Drone operation will continue till there will be a single supporter of terrorists .

Imran Khan certainly has contradictions. He mentions drones but does not mention the killers on the ground that the drones are targeting. He's powerless to effect change in KP so uses the drones as an excuse for his "business as usual" government.
lets leave the drones politics to the federal government. Just show the people what you set out to do. Improve things on the ground, make government efficient, provide more educational opportunity. Of course those things require commitment and don't generate headlines.
Do you know what 'international relations' means? Letting your 'country men' being slaughtered at the hands of another country, no matter how criminal they might be, isn't defined anywhere as 'International Relations'.

@Tahir: The points raised by Pervaiz Rasheed should be answered. These demonstrations will not affect the supply route if none exist on Sundays and Saturdays. Will Imran Khan hold demonstrations on other days? NOT because Imran Khan sadly is playing to the gallery.
IK's party can't govern a simpleton backwater province like KPK, corruption is still rampant there, no self reliance achieved and instead politics is played to safeguard the millions coming in from USAID and European Union and degenerating KPK into a criminal and terrorists haven.
As it becomes more glaring that the Tsunami ended failing miserably at all fronts due to incompetence and inexperience, instead of shenanigans of opposition against drones - PTI should admit to is fallacies and dissolve the KPK Government voluntarily. Parveiz Rasheed of PMLN ,APN, MQM is slowly assuming the ugly face of politics as practiced in Pakistan since its creation. Their main function is to divert the public opinion from the real issues by clouding them with lies or non issues and playing on the misplaced sentiments of the public. But things have changed now. The P.M.L.N. Nawaz group. M.Q.M, A.P.N, P.P.P have all had their time. Most of them indulged in corruption, selling Pakistan's interests to the highest bidder, and introducing terrorism, corruption,extortion, kidnapping, favoritism, pandering, and made them party institutions. All these years they talked against the drone attacks while secretly giving the USA the license to drop the bombs and kill innocent Pakistanis. They have sent Pakistan into a downward spiral. Imran Khan has raised the real issue and given it a substance. While he has challenged America these parties receive money from outside Pakistan to fight elections and subvert Pakistani's desires and aspirations to make it a truly great country. The APC was a show and then there was total inactivity to pursue the resolutions passed. It was a facade only. What is basically wrong to stand up for your country's rights? America is Mai-Baap of these parties and they all just shake their heads in approval, and with a body language of a a person pleading for money to indulge in corruption and mismanagement when talking to America. America knows it and it grants their wishes. A news article in the Daily Telegraph yesterday said it all when a minister in the U.K,. rightly stated that the Pakistanis living in the U.K have imported the culture of corrupting officials here.

I find pmln stance confusing. They call the apc, they make statements against drones. But they dont DO anything. Fine sir, criticise IK, but at the same time tell us what your PLAN is? What an upside down and a den of evil KPK has become under PTI's rule. No writ of the government, government is actively giving shelter to enemies of the state and has virtually become a TTP government territory!
