Awaran earthquake: President gives Rs50 million in aid

The president reaffirmed the commitment of the government towards socio-economic development of Balochistan.

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday expressed solidarity with the people of Balochistan and handed over a cheque worth Rs50 million as a contribution for the relief of quake-hit people of Awaran district to Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch. The president reaffirmed the commitment of the government towards socio-economic development of Balochistan and redressal of the grievances of the people of the province. “The government accords priority to remove the sense of deprivation of the people of Balochistan and will leave no stone unturned in this regard,” he added.
