Failed industrial units: AJK govt to cancel plot allotments

Decision to this effect was taken at recent meeting of the AJK industrial department, according to sources.

MIRPUR: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has decided to take back industrial plots from owners who have failed to set up industrial units within the stipulated time at various areas including Mirpur and Bhimber districts. According to sources, a decision to this effect was taken at a recent meeting of the AJK industrial department.  The industrial department has so far canceled allotment of scores of such industrial plots which were not utilized for the required purpose by the allotted persons. The sources said that allotment of all the canceled plots would be given to new applicants seeking to establish industrial units at different areas of the AJK to encourage flow of investment in the region.
