The blasts had injured at least 48 people and damaged around 10 shops along with nearby vehicles on the road leading to Ancholi.
TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said that these attacks were in reaction to the November 25 Ashura violence in Rawalpindi which killed at least 11 people and the drone attack on November 21 in which six were killed and at least eight others were injured.
The TTP threatened that such attacks would continue if those responsible for the violence in Rawalpindi are not brought to justice and the drone strikes do not stop.
Background
On November 21, a senior leader of the Haqqani network and five others were killed on Thursday when a US drone fired missiles on a seminary in Tal tehsil in Hangu — in the first such strike on the settled areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
At least eight people were also injured in the attack.
A district government official had said on the condition of anonymity that US drones fired four missiles on the Madrassah Miftakhul Quran at around 4:30am in which a Haqqani Group Taliban commander and spiritual leader, Maulvi Ahmad Jan, was killed.
On November 15, sectarian clashes had erupted at an Ashura procession near Fawara Chowk, that left at least 11 people dead and over 78 injured. Unidentified people had also set a portion of the cloth market in Raja Bazaar on fire.

I was hindu and after studying religions including hinduism, christianity, islam and buddhism, i became a muslim and so have 100000s of others in the west and everywhere (islam is the most converted to religion and no you cannot be forced in the west before you play this card)

Will those religo-political Sunni extremist protesting groups that were so insanely and prejudicially focused against the minority on the questionable circumstances of the Ashur violence in Rawalpindi, claiming they were against 'sectarian violence', come out and protest against this one by their Taliban brethren? Considering they never come out to condemn the thousands of previous sectarian attacks on the minority or terrorist attacks on majority Pakistani citizens, I'm assuming they won't...

@kamran khan Media did not give coverage to Rawalpindi Because it was such an obvious incident of complicity on part of both government and banned organisation's involvement that the coverage could make sure it would not stand a clean and clear scrutiny and the perpetrators of that incident would be disclosed. Already so many of the myths related to that incident are busted. Besides, the media of Pakistan has the sense to pick out the Saudi Islam from the Islam that most Sunni and Shia Muslims follow in Pakistan: the religion of peace. Appears that you don't though.
