Lives lost: Two killed, three injured in Swat

MINGORA: Two people were killed and three others were injured in unrelated incidents in Swat on Wednesday. According to Matta police, a truck and motorcycle collided in Durshkhela, killing the motorcyclist and severely injuring the other passenger. The injured was rushed to Matta Tehsil Hospital while the police managed to arrest the accused truck driver and registered a case against him. In another incident, Roma, an eighth grade student, committed suicide by consuming poison in Manerai village, Charbagh tehsil. She was taken to a hospital unconscious where she succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, two people were wounded in Matta over a personal dispute. According to the police, a clash erupted between two opponents in Matta bazaar, following which they stabbed each other with knives. They were shifted to the hospital while the police have registered cases against them.
