PESHAWAR:

The preparation for a roundtable peace conference has reached its final stages, while Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Tuesday directed its organisers to strive hard to make it a success.


The conference has been launched by Insaf Profession Forum and will take place at the end of November in Peshawar. In a meeting with forum members in his chamber, Asad Qaiser expressed his satisfaction over the preparations and said that to restore and establish peace in the region, there was a dire need for such initiatives.


He said scholars, journalists, doctors, engineers, lawyers, clerics and leading individuals from other walks of life would participate in the conference from across the province.


The aim would be to discuss various options for the restoration of peace and would prove to be a milestone for K-P, Qaiser added.
