Roadside ambush: NATO vehicles attacked

The vehicles carrying the containers also remained undamaged.

JAMRUD: Unidentified militants opened fire at an Afghanistan-bound convoy carrying Nato supplies near Shagai in Jamrud tehsil, Khyber Agency. No loss of life was reported in the incident. Political administration official Asmatullah Wazir said the attack took place around 10:45am when unidentified militants on a motorcycle sprayed bullets at the vehicles before escaping. The vehicles carrying the containers also remained undamaged. Following the incident, khasadar officials deployed on the Pak-Afghan Highway rushed to the spot and escorted the convoy to the Torkham border crossing.
