Rail accident: Two killed, one injured by train

Two persons were killed and one other was seriously injured on Monday after they were hit by an oncoming train at Chaklala Railway Station.


Shakoor, 36, died on the spot while Tariq, 50 and four-year-old Zeeshan were injured in the incident, one of them later succumbed to his injuries Rescue 1122 provided first aid to the two victims on the spot and took them to Benazir Bhutto Hospital.

According to information provided by the police and Rescue 1122, the three persons were crossing a railway track at Chaklala Railway Station when a train hit them. As a result, Shakoor died instantly. Rescue 1122 and police rushed to the scene and started a rescue operation. The Airport police have started an investigation into the incident.

Doctors handed over the bodies to the heirs after a postmortem while the injured were admitted in the hospital, where one of them died.
