Ashura Security: Five cities may face cellular services ban

KARACHI: Cellular services are likely to be banned on Muharram 9 and 10 in five cities of Sindh, including Kararchi. The provincial government has sent a communiqué to the federal government in this regard to prevent any incidents of terrorism on the two days. Other cities where cellular services are likely to be shut include Hyderabad, Khairpur, Larkana and Sukkar, according to sources. Meanwhile, Sindh home department has also issued a notification imposing a ban on pillion riding across the province on these two days. According to sources, Khairpur  district has been declared a highly sensitive area in terms of possible threats of terrorism.
